Why we built this
We started MPLEX because sending SMS from Jamaica was harder than it should have been. The international gateways charged high rates for Caribbean traffic, local options were limited, and most platforms treated the region as an afterthought.
We built direct carrier routes to Digicel and FLOW, added international reach through established upstream providers, and wrapped it in a dashboard and API that any developer or marketing team can use without training.
Our customers include small businesses sending appointment reminders, e-commerce companies delivering order notifications, and organisations running outreach campaigns across the Caribbean.
How we operate
MPLEX is a prepaid platform. You load credit onto your account and pay per message at published rates. There are no monthly fees, no contracts, and no minimum spend. The cost of each message is shown before you send it.
We maintain direct relationships with local carriers in Jamaica and route international traffic through licensed aggregators. Messages are processed through a multi-stage pipeline that handles encoding, segmentation, rate limiting, and delivery tracking automatically.
